Duane Hill is a member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). As a member of this organization, he completed three courses covering the following:
             1)  Appraisal principles and business practices.
            2)  Appraisal ethics, report writing standards, uniform standards of professional appraisal practice, identification and authentication, market and value research and analysis, and legal issues.
             3)  Appraisal report writing.
He has also taken advanced courses, one of which included heavy equipment. He also is a Certified Appraisers Guild of America (CAGA) Certified Appraiser.  All appraisals are done using government recognized Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Duane is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association and Certified Auctioneer's Institute and is an internationally known specialist in antique furniture, ivory, and Alaska native arts. He has extensive knowledge of European furniture and American furniture from the 19^th and 20^th century.  He has been buying and selling antiques and art since 1967 and has bought and sold millions of dollars worth of goods.

 Appraisal Fees

Normal Business Hours 9:00am-6:00pm Mon-Fri          =$200.00 per hour
Outside These Hours                                                 =$300.00 per hour

Research (if necessary)                                             = $200 per hour

Office Support (Data Entry) or Extra Staff Member
Normal Business Hours, 9:00am-6:00pm Mon-Fri         = $60.00 per hour

Color photographs                                                      = $5.00 each
Copies                                                                      = $0.15 per page

Appraisal time is calculated from port to port, which is from the moment the appraiser leaves the shop to his return. Travel outside Anchorage is negotiable with the appraiser. Appraisals must be picked up within 10 days of completion. After 10 days a charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to the balance due.
